Current Projects

This is not a complete list of permits issued by the Agency, but instead a list of permits and information that have attracted interest from the public. 

Ash Grove Cement

On October 8, 2025, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (the Agency) sent to US EPA for review a proposed modification to Operating Permit number 11339 for Ash Grove Cement Company, located at 3801 E Marginal Way S in Seattle, Washington. This proposed Operating Permit includes changes that were made in response to comments that were submitted by the public on the draft Operating Permit revision. The draft Operating Permit revision was published on December 10, 2024, and the Agency accepted comments through March 4, 2025.

Cedar Grove Composting Maple Valley

On June 5, 2025, the Agency issued Notice of Construction Order of Approval number 11573 to Cedar Grove Composting Co Maple Valley for modifications to continuous monitoring of the biofilters and third party biofilter evaluations (category A); opening the second of two tipping building bay doors during operation along with associated changes to work practice standards and compliance demonstration for the tipping building (category B); and installation of a replacement grinder in the existing grinding building (category C).

Cadman Materials

On October 26, 2022, the Agency issued Notice of Construction Order of Approval number 11861 to Cadman Materials for the Cadman Kenmore asphalt plant. The order is for the replacement of various pieces of equipment at the facility.  

Lenz Enterprises, Inc.

On January 13, 2022, the Agency issued Notice of Construction Order of Approval number 11753 to Lenz Enterprises, Inc. The Order of Approval is for an increase in composting capacity at the Lenz facility in Stanwood, Snohomish County. Puget Sound Energy - LNG Facility Tacoma

On December 10, 2019 the Agency completed a review of the Puget Sound Energy Tacoma Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility Notice of Construction Application (NOC 11386) and the comments received on the proposed approval. The Agency has made a final determination that the proposal meets all the requirements of Agency Regulations I, II and III and should be approved through the issuance of Order of Approval No. 11386.
